Membership Application
To join Auto Car Club a membership application form must be
completed and returned with the joining fee to: The New Strand,
Bootle, Liverpool, L20 1AA. All applications will be reviewed in
their own right and a decision will be made within 10 working days.
On acceptance of the application you will receive a letter of
acceptance and an invoice for your chosen package. All club invoices
are to be settled within 7 days or prior to the first car use, which
ever comes first. Should membership to the club be refused, the
application/joining fee will be refunded in full.
License Requirement and Age
All Drivers are required to be between the ages of 30 and 70, and
must have held a full, clean license for a minimum of 3 years.
Non-UK residents must have held a full, clean license for 4 years or
more. Drivers who are over the age of 70 will not be considered.
Insurance
Full Comprehensive insurance will be provided for the member and
their life partner only.
Use of Cars
Members can use the cars on a minimum of a 24 hour basis between 9am
and 5:30pm. You will have the vehicle for the period shown in your
agreement. Auto Car Club may suggest that the vehicle is booked only
for the period required and booked at the earliest. If you wish to
extend the use of the vehicle you must contact Auto Car Club 3 hours
before the initial period has elapsed, this will be subject to your
points balance. Members cannot keep the cars for more than 5 days in
one use. Members will only be allowed to use 2 cars at any given
time (member and life partner).
Insurance Excess
The insurance excess will depend on the car being used by the
member.
• Payments towards any mechanical damage which is not covered by our
insurers (e.g. tyres, wheels, clutch, gearbox) and which was
sustained during the hire period due to misuse and abuse
• An insurance excess against any accidental damage or loss to the
vehicle by a third party or the hirer. The hirer is liable for the
amount shown as excess.
• Additional charges incurred during hire for excess mileage and/or
petrol reimbursement charges.
Liability
Liability is limited to a refund of the hire charge. No
consequential loss of liability will be covered.
Purpose of Use of Vehicle
The member may use the vehicle for the purpose of their business and
for social domestic and pleasure purposes. The vehicle may not be
used for any purposes for which they are not expressly designed.
Further, the member will not use or permit the vehicles to be used
for hire, driving tuition, towing, racing or pace-making, or for
competing in any rally, or any other form of motor sport, track
days, or for any illegal purpose whatsoever.
Petrol
You will have to return the vehicle at the same fuel level, when it
was hired to you. If this is not the case, any reimbursement for
petrol will be charges at the pump price, plus £25+VAT
administration charge.
Overseas Travel
Please note that none of our vehicles are permitted outside mainland
UK without prior permission. Usual mileage restrictions apply.
Mileage Allowance
Each member would be given a mileage allowance depending on the type
and level of their membership. Additional miles cannot be purchased
and once the total miles are spent, the membership is terminated.
Memberships can be renewed immediately after this period.
Delivery & Collection
Auto Car Club offers a North West delivery and collection service
for all our vehicles. This service is available to, or from, your
home, work, airport, hotel, and will be charged at the time of the
hire in £ Sterling + VAT.
Availability
All vehicles offered are subject to availability. If your chosen
vehicle is not available, a similar vehicle will be offered as an
alternative.
Traffic Violations
Auto Car Club reserves the right to levy an administration charge of
£25+VAT for the processing of any traffic violations incurring
during a hire period.
Payment
Auto Car Club accepts all major credit and debit cards. Credit cards
are subject to a 3.5% service charge.
VAT
All prices stated in this website and any other promotional
literature of Auto Car Club includes VAT unless otherwise stated.
Membership Expiration
Memberships expire after 12 months from the date of the first hire;
or if the allocated points are fully utilised; or the mileage limit
is reached. Membership can be renewed immediately when any of these
criteria’s are met.
Auto Car Club reserves the right to refuse membership.
